LOL at the squirrel. One time on UWO campus there was a squirrel doing backflips by running partially up a tree and then somersaulting backwards onto its back and rolling. I think it was drunk, seeing as it was a UWO squirrel.
Squirrels are really cool, even those scary black Toronto ones. We have them all over my campus and they routinely come into classrooms or perch on open windows. Oh how I love fall. And happy Thanksgiving, my Canadian friend!
Steve: You were feeding the squirrel shots, weren't you? *shakes head*
AQC: Um, if it makes you feel any better - fall this year isn't as dramatic as it usually is. Something to do with rains, but really, it's usually prettier.
C: You *raised* squirrels? Oh, the cuteness. Our squirrel(s?) are fed a constant stream of old rice and biscuits that strictly speaking is meant for the birds, but that doesn't stop our guy from wolfing them down.
Beth: Ooh yes the colours are pretty and it's not too cold yet - but you want to know something freaky? I was watching a TV show where it was clearly winter (snow and everything) and I was like, "I miss winter!" and LOL - you can be my chicken fry :P
Salil: I hope so, because so far this year it's been a bit underwhelming :(
steve: why bother with wine? why not just feed it some old spoilt fruit juice? :P
sheetal: thanks! most of it is really just luck.
C: I think our squirrel is single-guy/girl-in-the-city, so i don't think we'll be seeing baby squirrels, let alone possibly raising them. (Grandmother voice) When will this squirrel give me squirrel babies to raise and warp in my own peculiar way? (/Grandmother voice) But then - I am totally not a low BP person, so squirrels are probably not a good idea.
Looks like I was wrong. Fall colours so far this year have been very disappointing - at least from what I've seen around Illinois, Connecticut and NY. Such a letdown.

You WANT people to hate you? The colours of fall, when all I can see is concrete.

Hang on a little longer. A week or two more, and then the full range of fall colours ought to be out there.
Sharon, I just have to say - you are my fish fry.

No, I would never feed the squirrel shots! I'd waste the cheap wine on it instead. ;)
And you aren't supposed to feed the animals with old human food; it makes them dependent. :P
Hi Sharon,
Your photographs are absolutely STUNNING! The colours are gorgeous...you have a real knack for photography!
